Disney and beyond packages

Monday, April 22nd, 2013

A trip to Disney World sounds like a magical time for the entire family, and it is. But actually planning the trip can be much less than that. You have to decide how many days you want to spend at the parks, which parks you’ll be visiting, the cost of each ticket per person, when and where you’ll be staying, your modes of transportation to the parks, and trying to find the best deals. By the end of the day, you may feel as if all your magic has been spent.

Being able to lump this into one discount package makes planning your trip so much easier. With WDWPackages.com, you save a great deal of money, time, and frustration. When visiting the site, you have the option of choosing from a number of packages. The smallest package is the 2 Day Orlando Vacation Package and the largest package is the 7 Day Orlando Vacation Package. You can even create your own custom package, tailored to your very specific needs.

Before you review the packages, you may want to decide which parks your family would like to visit during the vacation. These parks include the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Blizzard Beach Water Park, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld.

The Magic Kingdom is well-known for the grand Cinderella Castle, colorful Disney characters, enchanting rides, thrilling parades, and awe-inspiring fireworks. At the Animal Kingdom, one can expect to encounter exotic creatures, rugged terrain, and wild adventures. Get ready for the ride of your life at Hollywood Studios: Travel across the galaxy, go back in time, and descend into the Twilight Zone. Experience culture from around the globe, enter the iconic Spaceship Earth, and become an astronaut for a day at the Epcot Theme Park.

Walt Disney World has two water parks: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. The Typhoon Lagoon has gripping raft rides, relaxing river floats, plummeting water slides, and you can even swim with the sharks. Brave the frosty waters of Blizzard Beach for an entirely different adventure. Take a scenic chair lift up a mountain, slide down a 120-foot drop, and race to the finish line on your sleigh.

Step into the world of movies and television at Universal Studios. Universal Studios contains the world’s most technologically advanced roller coaster ride. Disney World and Universal Studios are completely separate theme parks, but are located within 15 miles of each other. With the Disney World Packages that the site offers, you can opt to include Universal Studios in the package.

Like Universal Studios, SeaWorld is also its own separate theme park. SeaWorld is located within close proximity of Disney World as well. At SeaWorld, you can interact with dolphins and sea lions, plunge down the 400-foot tall Sky Tower, and venture to the lost city of Atlantis.

Some packages come with a Park Hopper. A Park Hopper allows you to hop from one Disney theme park to another Disney theme park in a day. That means you can visit more than one of the parks a day.

So let’s say you want an ultimate 7 day package in the middle of June. For 2 adults and 2 children (ages 3 to 9) — with the Magic Your Way Ticket, Park Hopper, and Water Park Fun and More — it’ll cost you a total of $2,631.54 if you order on Disney’s official website. Included in the cost is the price of the room for the cheapest rates available. Not included are the 2 day tickets to Universal Studios or the 1 day tickets to SeaWorld for both adults and children.

When planning your vacation with WDWPackages, for 2 adults and 2 children (ages 3 to 9) — with the Magic Your Way Ticket, Park Hopper, Water Park Fun and More, 2 days at Universal Studios, 1 day at SeaWorld, and the cost of the rooms for the cheapest rates available — the total will come to $2,594.02. And that’s just one comparison!

So, as you can see, you can save a great deal of money and effort when planning your vacation with WDWPackages.com. Try out our custom packages to see for yourself!

Discount Orlando Hotels and Resorts

Saturday, December 8th, 2012

Tourists are attracted to the state of Florida for various reasons, with the main reason being due to this particular state’s warm climate and plentiful beaches. From Jacksonville to Miami, tourists travel to Florida to enjoy all this state has to offer. One Florida city that tourists are especially drawn to is Orlando. In addition to its warm, sunny climate and lovely beaches, people visit Orlando because of the many theme parks, including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Lego Land, which is the newest addition to the bunch. Of course there is also the opportunity to shop, golf, swim, fish, sight see, visit museums as well as a great deal more. Unfortunately for individuals on a budget, participating in various Orlando attractions can become quite expensive, especially if you are staying for more than just a few days.

One way to off-set your expenses is to eat at less expensive restaurants, or perhaps even prepare your own meals at times. It’s pretty inexpensive to buy a loaf of bread, a few condiments and the deli meats of your choice. Canned soup or potato chips are great ideas for possibilities that can be consumed with the sandwiches, and drinks purchased in the half-gallon or gallon size are more economical than buying individuals drinks. There is, of course, other less expensive food available at the supermarket, which you can choose, depending on your own personal preferences.

If you don’t wish to prepare your own foods or you don’t have access to a refrigerator, microwave or someplace else in which to cook your meals, as you probably already know, most fast food restaurants now have dollar menus that include various options. Dollar menus usually contain a combination of both healthy and not-so-healthy choices, and what you ultimately decide to eat depends totally on what your health goals are…or aren’t. Additionally, if you opt to eat lunch instead of dinner at a full-service restaurant, you can save quite a bit of money as well, since most restaurants offer a separate, much cheaper lunch menu. The portions are smaller, of course, but it is a way to still enjoy eating at your favorite restaurant but without spending an arm and a leg.

Another way to free up money so you’ll have more to spend enjoying the area attractions is to stay at a less expensive hotel. There is no need to sacrifice your comfort by staying at a sleazy, cockroach or rodent-infested motel because you decide to lower your budget, and as long as you choose the right hotel you can have the best of both worlds, meaning a nice hotel with various conveniences but for a budget price. The following Discount Orlando Hotels are some excellent choices that will provide you with the amenities that you desire yet without requiring you to pay exorbitant costs.

As we celebrate Father’s day you might be thinking forward to the next holiday, why not surprise dad with an amazing vacation here in Orlando. I know what you are thinking, “but Mr. Blogger man, it’s too hot for us in Orlando in the summer!”. OK, I admit, it’s hot, it’s really hot but would it surprise you to know that here in Orlando it is only about 2 degrees hotter than it is there in say, northern Ohio? Here is the difference, we have 5 water parks in small radius. You could literally make a vacation out of just water parks.

  1. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon – inside Disney World
  2. Disney’s Blizzard Beach – inside Disney World
  3. Wet N Wild – on International Drive near Universal

Fall in Orlando means falling package prices!

Sunday, September 25th, 2011

Friday was the first day of fall which barely went noticed around here in sunny Florida. We usually know it’s fall because the retail stores tell us so with Halloween decorations. The weather around here has little to do with the calendar but one noticeable change is the slow down in tourism but this is good news for you. Fewer visitors means lower prices and smaller crowds. This is an ideal time to visit Orlando with many things happening. We are in full swing with Halloween, fall inspired menus, booming nightlife and excellent package rates. Here’s my top 5 to ponder.

1. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – this is a special ticket event happening select days at the Magic Kingdom. Trick-or-Treat, special Halloween stage shows, Hallo-Wishes (Halloween fireworks), dancing and attractions with little to no wait time.

2. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios – haunted house like only Universal can make them, stage shows, attractions, special Halloween/Movie inspired drinks and plenty of nightlife at CityWalk.

3. Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT with free concerts from big names acts like 38 Special, Air Supply, Boyz II Men and many more. World Showcase becomes a dining paradise with cuisine from all over the world. No reservations needed and your Epcot ticket is all you need.

4. LegoLand Florida opens October 15th! We don’t know what to expect yet but if you are here in Orlando you can be 1 of the first to know.

5. SeaWorld Spooktacular – this year there is a Halloween breakfast with Sesame street’s “The Count” along with other characters from sesame street. Select weekends also include special stage shows, trick-or-treat and a DJ playing family friendly dance music.

Did I mention that packages are at their lowest of the year right now. No, that does not include the spring/summer packages but if you are looking for something in the next 4 weeks then you are in luck!  Book your Orlando Discount Package and save money.

Thanksgiving in Orlando

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

Liberty Tree TavernChances are you are thinking about fall Holiday plans and are dreading the infamous family feud that is your typical Thanksgiving dinner followed by hours of watching football while uncle John tells the same story for the 100th time. There is another option you know. You could tell the family that this year you got a great off season rate at one of our many resorts and enjoy your holiday with your family. There are plenty of places to get your turkey on at. Here are just a few ideas but remember, you need to book now before it’s too late. Besides, you need to be prepared for the question “where are we having Thanksgiving dinner this year?”.

1. Probably the most Thanksgiving’y place of all is Liberty Tree Tavern located in The Magic Kingdom. Mickey and Minnie with a few friends dressed in their colonial costumes serving american favorites family style. What is “Family Style”? This just means that you do not order from a menu but there also is not a buffet. Trays of turkey, ham, carved beef, mashed potatoes, greens, salad, bread and more just keeps coming to your table. When you run out, more magically appears. Ya, this is not a weight watchers meeting.

2. Grab a ButterBeer at the Three Broomsticks restaurant in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. No, there is no alcohol in the ButterBeer and yes this is a quick service restaurant but I don’t think your kids will mind either! Spend the day living the movie and then feast like a wizard.

3. Makahiki Christmas Luau (yep, I said Christmas) located in SeaWorld Orlando. This is a fantastic way to celebrate the Holidays Polynesian style. Excellent food, interpreted Holiday music, festive costumes and best of all, Luau dancers!

Make this the year you create a new Holiday tradition and say goodbye to the argument about which parents house to visit.
